Saratoga Springs, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's cross country team travelled to Saratoga State Park on Saturday to compete in the RPI Invitational. RPI won the men's race with a score of 37 in a field of 16 complete teams for the 8 k course. RPI's Grant O'Connor won the men's individual title with his impressive time of 24:56.4. Bates won the women's team title with a score of 36 in a field of 17 teams as Sage finished in 15th place with a 486 for the meet. USCGA's Kaitlyn Mooney won the women's 5 k race with her time of 17:07.5.

Pacing the Gator women's runners was sophomore Amanda Jones (West Sand Lake, NY/Columbia) as she posted a time of 20:31.1 and finished in 88th place.

Junior Sagan Leggett (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) posted a time 20:35.5 and finished in 91st place. Freshman Sevi Travis (Cohoes, NY/Shaker) was next for Sage as she finished in 98th in 21:06.8 just ahead of rookie Olivia Leonard (Waterford, NY/Waterford-Halfmoon) who finished in 101st place in 21:23.5.  The next finisher for Sage was rookie Heather Dilcher (Colonie, NY/Colonie Central) as she finished in 108th place in 22:27.2. Rounding out the competitors for Sage on Saturday was rookie Sophia Keravich (Barrington, NH/Oyster River) with her time of 23:50.2 and she finished in 112th place.

Next up for the team is competition on October 7 at the Westfield State University James Earley Cross Country Invitational.
