Shannon Farrell
At Sage:
A one-time women’s lacrosse team member at Sage, Shannon Farrell turned to running in 2016 and joined the Sage women’s cross country team. She made an immediate impact on the team, finishing every single race as the first Gator to cross the finish line. She just missed capturing 2016 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year honors at the league’s championship. She picked up third place at the Skyline Championship with her team-best time of 24:53.37.
She added a top performance for the team at the 2016 NCAA Atlantic Regionals with her time of 24:06.08 to take 154th, while also garnering Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week citations three times, while also earning Runner of the Week honors once. Her 2016 was capped by her Skyline Conference All-Star First Team selection.
She was honored for her outstanding performances as the team’s 2016 Gator of the Year as the team MVP.
