New York, NY– The Sage Colleges' women's cross country team member junior Shannon Farrell (Indian Lake, NY/Indian Lake Central) was honored as the Skyline Conference Rookie Runner of the Week. The honor is the fourth weekly award for the Gator harrier.

In the women's race which was a 5 k course, Farrell was once again the top finisher for the Gators as she ran a time of 20:34 and took home 19^th place in a field of 242 runners. She helped Sage's women's team finished to a 14^th place team showing with a score of 314.

Sage will be back in action on Sunday, October 30 competing at the 2016 Skyline Conference Championships.
