Marcy, NY –The Sage women'scross country team was in action at the SUNY-Polytechnic Wildcat Short Course race. The Gator women picked up 10th place in a field of 11 teams.

SUNY-Oneonta won the team race with their score of 25 as they had their five scorers all finish in the Top 10 in the event. Sage combined for a score of 237 for the day. Senior Amanda Millington (Chestertown, NY / North Warren) picked up right where she left off last season as the team's Gator of the Year. She was the top finisher for Sage on Saturday as she finished in 33rd place in a time of 23:07.

Hannah Tighe was next for the Gators as she took 45th in 24:28, while rookie Aanilh Taylor picked up 48th in 24:46. Freshman Sagan Leggett finished in 55th place in 25:24, while junior Lauren Belfast (Ilion, NY/Ilion) added a 56th place showing in 25:25. Junior Sarah Montgomery (Gloversville, NY/Mayfield) picked up 60th in 26:15, while rookie Hannah Folino was next in 64th in 26:35.

The Gators will be back in action on Saturday, September 12 travelling to SUNY-Cobleskill for the Tiger Invitational.
