Lauren Belfast won 12 varsity letters as a member of the cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams at Ilion High School. A team captain, she won numerous awards during her career. She was named the recipient of the Parents' Senior Girl Outstanding Award as well as the winner of the Girls' Indoor Track Achievement Award, while earning acclaim for her contributions to the program.

She was named to the 2013 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team as a rookie and was named to the Dean’s List for the Fall of 2013. A National Honor Society student, she earned High Honor Roll status as well. She is majoring in physical therapy at Sage and is the daughter of Aaron and Wendy Belfast.
