Annandale-On-Hudson, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's cross country team was in action on Saturday competing at the Bard College Invitational. On the women's side, Sage's team picked up a fifth place team finish in a field of 17 complete teams.
Leading the way for the Gator women's team was rookie Ilenis Quinones (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) as she posted a time of 18:47 and finished seventh overall. Junior Amanda Millington (Chestertown, NY/North Warren) was next taking 20th in 19:25. Rookie Sabrena Smith (Woodburne, NY/Tri-Valley Central) posted a time of 20:12 and finished in 32nd place. Senior Alaina Krueger (Selkirk, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) picked up 38th in 20:28, while junior Ashley Maresca (Brant Lake, NY/North Warren Central) was the final Sage scorer with her 54th place finish in 21:24.
Sage's team is back in action on October 4 travelling to the Mt. St. Mary Invitational with an 11 a.m. start for the women's race.
