Bristol, RI---The Sage Colleges' women's cross country team was in action on Saturday at the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Championships held at Colt State Park. Sage's women's team finished in 26th place,.

The Middlebury College Panthers won their fifth consecutive Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Women's Cross Country Championship this afternoon at Colt State Park, finishing with a combined team score of 30 points to claim the 2013 title. Middlebury freshman Catie Skinner (Philadelphia, Pa.) was the individual champion in her first ECAC Cross Country Championship, completing the 6,000-meter course in 22:30, ten seconds ahead of her closest competitor. Williams College claimed second-place with 54 points and Tufts University finished third with 111 points. Also finishing in the top-five of the team competition was Amherst College in fourth-place (164) and Wellesley College in fifth-place (199), respectively.

The Panthers placed four runners in the top-ten of the individual race. Joining Skinner was senior Emily Atwood (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/22:40) in second-place, freshman Emma DeCamp (Washington, D.C./22:57) in fifth and senior Lottie Hedden (Washington, D.C./23:03) in tenth. Purchase College sophomore Katherine Henri (Staten Island, N.Y.) crossed the finish line with a time of 22:46, good enough for third overall. Williams College senior Louisa Lee (Short Hills, N.J.) finished right behind Henri in fourth, posting a time of 22:55 in her final ECAC Championship race.

Sage's sophomore co-captain Alaina Krueger (Selkirk, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) finished in 103rd place with her time of 25:22.32, while sophomore Ashley Maresca (Brant Lake, NY/North Warren Central) picked up 126th place in 25:47.32.

Next to finish for Sage was sophomore Amanda Millington (Chestertown, NY/North Warren) in 26:10.99 as she took 146th place. Rookie Lauren Belfast (Ilion, NY/Ilion) picked up 201st place in 27:39.16, while junior Caitlin Coughlin (Palenville, NY/Catskill) posted a time of 28:26.40 to finish in 224th place.

Sophomore Megan Lugo (West Nyack, NY/Clarkstown South) posted a time of 29:129.80 to take 240th place. Sophomore Leanne Egan (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) finished in 267th place with her time of 30:35.15.

The Gators will wrap the 2013 season next Saturday competing at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships at SUNY-Geneseo.
