Bronx, NY---The Sage Colleges' women's cross country team was in action on Sunday at the 2013 Skyline Conference Championships at Van Cortlandt Park. Sage's women's team picked up fourth place.

Sage's women's team produced the program's Skyline Conference All-Star as sophomore co-captain Alaina Krueger (Selkirk, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) finished in 10th place and earned second team honors.  

St. Joseph's College (LI) won the women's race with a score of 24 for the day, while Sage took home fourth with a score 112.

Krueger posted a time of 21:16.63 to finish in 10th place at the meet. Next to finish for Sage was sophomore Amanda Millington (Chestertown, NY/North Warren) in 22:23.42.

Sage's sophomore Ashley Maresca (Brant Lake, NY/North Warren Central) picked up 22nd place in 22:42.94, while junior Caitlin Coughlin (Palenville, NY/Catskill) posted a time of 23:42.93 and finished in 30th place.   Rookie Lauren Belfast (Ilion, NY/Ilion) picked up 32nd place in 24:04.61.  Sophomore Megan Lugo (West Nyack, NY/Clarkstown South) posted a time of 24:09.24 to take 35thd place. Freshman Ellyn Fisher (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) took 41st in 24:58.90, while sophomore Leanne Egan (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) finished 63rd overall in 26:03.82.

Also running for the Gators, freshman Morgan Rush (Troy, NY/Averill Park) finished in 68th in 26:35.86, while rookie Stephanie Schmidt (Holland Patent, NY/Holland Patent) finished in 26:41.53 to take 70th place.

Sage returns to action on November 9 travelling to the 2013 ECAC Division III Championships that will be held at Colt State Park (Bristol, RI). With the women's race is at noon and the men's race follows at 1 p.m.
