Albany, NY—The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team member, freshman defensive Elaina Moisidis (Albany, NY/Albany) earned Empire 8 Rookie of the Week honors.

Moisdis helped Sage to a 2-2 week after playing in all 13 sets with a .909 reception percentage to go along with 46 digs, averaging 3.54 digs per set. She recorded 13 digs in a win over Bard Wednesday and topped that with 16 versus Skidmore Friday. On Saturday, Moisidis added 10 digs in a win over Salem State.

Overall on her 219 season, she has played in all 14 matches and now has 125 digs and is third on the team with 125 digs (2.72/set) this season.  She has a pair of aces and eight setting assists in 46 sets played.

Sage is back in action on Tuesday, September 24 travelling to SUNY-Cobleskill for a 7 p.m. non-conference match.
