Rochester, NY- The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team's junior tri-captain Brittany Orminski (Galway, NY/Galway) was honored on Tuesday with the release of the Empire 8 Women's Volleyball All-Star Team. Orminksi was honored with a selection to the Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year list for her efforts in 2017.

One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2017 Volleyball Sportswoman of the Year Team.  Empire 8 emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen. 

The junior setter played in 100 sets this fall for the squad, while adding 241 setting assists with 25 aces and 182 digs. She also finished the season with 23 total blocks with 93.0 points as a first-year performer for the Gators and had 56 kills.
