Berard honored for her outstanding play last week

New York, NY–The Gators of The Sage Colleges' had one of their performers tapped for the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll. Senior outside hitter Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) was named to the Honor Roll after also earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team on Saturday at the Skidmore College Thoroughbred Classic.

Berard averaged 2.86 kills per set last week after also racking up 10 kills against Cortland State and Nazareth College. She had a .212 attack percentage in the match with a pair of digs in the match-up with the Red Dragons and backed that up on Saturday with 10 kills and three digs.

Earlier in the week in the Gators' 3-1 win over Hartwick, she had a match-high 17 kills, while leading all Sage players with her .417 attack percentage. She finished with one block assist and 17.5 points.

On her career at Sage, she is also ranked in kills and blocks. She has 793 career kills and stands No. 7 all-time in kills. She has 142 career total blocks is in sole possession of the No. 8 spot at Sage.

Sage is back in action on October 4 when they travel to Massachusetts to take on the Trailblazers of MCLA in a 7 p.m. non-conference match at 7 p.m.
