Campolieta's double-double helps Gators past SUNY-Polytechnic, 3-2

Marcy, NY–The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team travelled to SUNY-Polytechnic for a non-conference match with the Wildcats. Sage posted the 3-2 win (25-18, 15-25, 25-20, 19-25, 17-15) to improve to 3-6 on the season.

Sage's senior outside hitter and team tri-captain Sara Campolieta (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) tallied a double-double as she had 18 kills with 14 digs. Graduate performer Katy Rimawi (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) added 16 digs for Sage, while sophomore outside hitter Amelia Taylor (Fort Edward, NY/Fort Edward) picked up personal-best 14 kills with her impressive .423 attack percentage in the match.

Sage's senior tri-captain, setter Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) tallied 35 setting assists with 10 digs, three block assists and an ace. Junior defensive specialist Missy Schneiderman (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) connected for 18 digs in the action with three aces. Junior middle hitter Alyssa Nellis (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) added six kills with three block assists for the Gators in the night contest.

Sage is back in action on September 16 hosting Potsdam State and Fredonia State in Kahl Gym in Albany in matches at 5 and 7 p.m.
