RSC women break 3 school records at UAlbany Bobbi Palma Invitational

Albany, NY--Russell Sage College women's outdoor track and field team competed Friday night at the University at Albany's Bobbi Palma Invitational. By night's end RSC's women's team broke three school records.

The Gators broke three school records on Friday night as the records were broken in the 800 meter run, the hammer toss and the 5,000 meter run.

Junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) finished in sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:25.52, breaking her own record from earlier in the month of 2:27.83.

Rookie Ashley Rabbitt (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) broke RSC's record in the hammer as she was seventh with her performance of 29.31,breaking the mark set in 2021 by Monalissa Carious of 29.22 meters. She also picked up a sixth place showing in the discus with a throw of 25.77 meters.

Sophomore Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) posted a school record time of 18:47.48 and was fifth in the 5,000 meter run. She broke the mark set in 2019 by Kerry Flower of 19:02.96.

Newcomer Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) won the 400 meter hurdles in 1:16.21 and also recorded an eighth place finish in the 110 meter hurdles in 18.13. Freshman Charisma Losee (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) picked up 10th in the 800 meter run in 2:51.99. Sophomore Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) added a second place finish in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:38.86.  

Junior Jasmine Zollman (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) added a fifth place showing in the long jump to pace the Gators as she had a mark of 4.47 meters.

In the women's 4 x 400 meter relay, the Gators were fourth in 4:38.99 as Feeney, Ivery, Losee, and Spivey competed.

The Gators are back in action on April 29 competing at the Capital District Championship at RPI that commences at 11:00 a.m. next Saturday.
