
Utica, NY--Russell Sage College women's outdoor track and field program was in action at the Utica University Pioneer Invitational. The Gators finished in sixth place in a field of 12 teams. The Gators had an impressive meet highlighted by some top performances.
Sophomore Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) won the 10,000 meter run with a top time of 39:29.69. Junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) finished in second place in the 800 meter run in 2:27.83 and broke her own school record time as well (2:27.00). She was also was third in the 1,500 meter run in 5:06.00.
Freshman Charisma Losee (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) was eighth in the 400 meter run in 1:11.47.
Newcomer Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) recorded a sixth place finish in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:16.94 and was also sixth in the 100 meter hurdles in 18.65.
Sophomore Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) added an 11th place finish in the 400 meter run in 1:14.78, while junior Jasmine Zollman (Delmar,NY/Bethlehem Central) was ninth in the long jump with a mark of 4.04 meters.
Junior Giuliana Capparello (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) posted a time of 14.99 in the 100 meter dash to take 25th and posted a time of 32.14to take home 28th in the 200 meter dash
Rookie Ashley Rabbitt (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) had a throw of 25.57 meters and picked up 10th in the discus.
In the women's 4 x 400 meter relay, RSC picked up fourth with a time of 4:46.30 behind the work of Spivey, Ivery, Losee, and Feeney.
The Gators are back in action on April 14 competing at the RPI Twighlight Meet at 3 p.m.
