RSC women's open new season at Hamilton Invitational

Clinton, NY--Russell Sage College women's outdoor track and field team opened the 2023 season on Saturday traveling to Hamilton College. A non-team scored meet, the Gators had an impressive start to the season highlighted by some top performances.

For RSC's women's sophomore Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) was the runner-up in the 5,000 meter run with her impressive time of 19:08.83. Her effort of Saturday is the top time in the Empire 8.

Junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) finished in fourth place in the 800 meter run in 2:35.71.

Newcomer Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) recorded a 10th place finish in the 100 meter hurdles in 18.91, while taking sixth in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:18.27. Sophomore Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) was right behind her in the 400 meter hurdles taking seventh in 1:23.56. She was also 11th in the 400 meter dash in 1:12.79.

Junior Giuliana Capparello (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) posted a time of 32.08 and was 33rd in the 200 meter dash, while rookie Ashley Rabbitt (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) had a throw of 20.12 meters and finished in 34th in the discus.

The Gators are back in action on April 8 travelling to Utica University for completion at the Pioneer Spring Invitational.
