Gators Return to Utica

UTICA, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College returned to Utica on Saturday for the Pioneer Invitational.

The Gators achieved a pair of program records, while multiple student-athletes hit PRs.

Sophomore Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) bettered her program record in the 5k with a time of 19:23.84.  The clocking was more than 21 seconds faster than her previous standard.

Junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) registered a pair of top-ten showings. She took sixth in the mile with a time of 5:35.79 and completed 800m in 2:33.86, good for ninth. 
 
On the men's side, senior John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) bettered his school record in the shot put with a toss of 15.23m. The throw, currently ranking 33rd in the nation, was good for second place in the event. Coddington also finished second in the weight throw with a mark of 16.14m.

Sophomore David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) finished fifth in the 400m in a time of 53.36.

Looking ahead, the Gators compete next on Saturday at the Hampshire Invitational.
