Zollman chosen as Gator of the Year for Women's Outdoor Track Squad

Albany, NY—Russell Sage College's department of athletics announced their award winners for the 2021-2022 academic year at the annual awards banquet.  In addition to several honors bestowed for athletic and academic excellence, Sage also selected the Gator of the Year Award for the department's 21 varsity sports for the 2021-2022 year.

RSC's sophomore Jasmine Zollman (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) was honored as the Gator of the Year in outdoor women's track and field.

Since the start of the outdoor season, Zollman brought herself to new levels of success. She has scored in the Top 15 in the long jump at several meets. She had a personal-best leap of 4.35 meters competing at the highly competitive Capital District Championship.

Head Women's Track and Field Coach Nick Jones said of Zollman, "Jasmine has shown up each day with a positive attitude." He added, "She has shown her excitement for her teammates' progress. She has also shown her love for the sport and her team. She wants everyone to thrive in a positive environment. It is a joy to work with Jasmine at practice each day."
