Rochester, NY –Russell Sage College's women's outdoor track and field program wrapped up action at the  2022 Empire 8 Track Championship held at Nazareth College's Stadium Complex.

For the Gator women, sophomore co-captain Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) had a banner day as she broke her own school record while competing in the 800 meter run. She finished in third place with a time of 2:27.99 for her best time of the spring bettering her record from a year ago in the event of 2:30.40.  Also running in the 1,500 meter run she finished in 8^th place in 5:15.30.

On Friday night, rookie Alyssa McClurg (Cropseyville, NY/Tamarac) competed in the women's long jump and finished in 8^th with her jump of 5.01 meters to set the school record as well. She broke the school record of 4.88 meters set in 2015 by Krystal Lambert.

Sage's women's team posted a seventh place finish in the team standings, while St. John Fisher College won the women's team crown.
