Albany, NY –Russell Sage College's women's outdoor track and field teams will compete on Friday-Saturday, May 6-7 at the 2022 Empire 8 Track Championship. This year's event will take place at Nazareth College's Stadium Complex.
For the Gator women, sophomore co-captain Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) will compete in the 800 meter run and the 1,500 meter run. She is seeded ninth heading into Saturday's 1,500 meter run with her time of 5:13.46. A year ago at the 2021 Empire 8 Championship, she set the program record with her time of 5:03.54. Also the school record holder in the 800 meter run with her time of 2:30.40, Feeney is seeded 12th having recorded a time of 2:31.48 this spring.
Rookie Alyssa McClurg (Cropseyville, NY/Tamarac) will compete on Friday in the women's long jump. She stands 12th entering the event with her leap of 4.70 meters.
