Women's track and field team competes at Utica Invitational

Utica, NY –  Russell Sage College's women's outdoor track and field program competed on Saturday at the Utica University Pioneer Invitational.  Hamilton College captured the women's championship in the nine-team competition as Sage took home eighth place.

For the Gator women, sophomore Hethar Scutt (Ancramdale, NY/Taconic Hills) turned in a time of 1:38.97 and finished in fourth in the 400 meter run. She also had a time of 4:04.36to finish in 23rd in the 800 meter run.

Sophomore co-captain Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) added a throw of 4.84 meters as she finished in 23rd in her season debut in the shot put.

Newcomer Merideth Diegel (Albany, NY/Colonie) added a time of 36.84 and was 14th in the 200 meter run, while sophomore Jasmine Zollman (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) picked up ninth in the long jump with her performance of 4.20 meters.

In the javelin throw, sophomore co-captain Emma Cronin (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich Central) had a throw of 10.39 meters and took home 12th place.

Looking ahead, RSC competes on April 16 at the Williams College Invitational, commencing at noon.
