At Sage:

A two-year letterwinner in track and field at Sage, Sabrena Smith returns for the 2017 season. A member of Sage’s cross country team in 2016, she was also honored with a selection to the Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team. She helped set the program’s record for the best showing in the 4 x 400 relay with a time of 4:38.51, while also owning individual records in the 400 intermediate hurdles (1:16.86), the 3,000 meter steeplechase (13:46.68), all during the 2016 season.

Academics at Sage:

She is majoring in health sciences with a path to physical therapy and is a Dean’s List student as well as a Sage Scholar-Athlete.

High School:

She attended Tri-Valley Central High School and was a stand-out performer in five sports, soccer, basketball, indoor and outdoor track and field and cross country. Served as basketball team captain from 2010-2014, while earning the Basketball Coaches’ Award in 2011 as well as the Most Improved Performer in outdoor track and field in 2012.  She was also honored as the MVP defensive player basketball in 2014, while earning MVP in outdoor track in 2012 and all-state Section 9 honors in basketball. An accomplished performer, her extensive resume includes, 2009-2013 Outdoor Track Section 9 champions 2009-2013. Outdoor Division IV champions 2011-2013.  Cross Country Section 9 champions 2011-2013 .Cross Country States 2011-2012 Cross Country Division IV Champs. 2011-2014 basketball divisional champions 2011, and 2014 basketball Section 9 champions.

She was also honored for her efforts in the classroom, with a selection to the National Junior Honor Society as well as a 2013-2014 National Honor Society Honoree in 2013-2014. Smith was also honored with a SkillsUSA award in 2013-2014.
