Alfred, NY – Russell Sage College's women's tennis team traveled to Alfred University for an Empire 8 match. The host Saxons collected the 9-0 win to earn a spot in the Empire 8 tournament, while dashing the hopes of the Gators for a spot in the tournament in the process. Alfred is now 9-3 overall and 4-3 in the E8, while RSC is now 5-7 overall and 2-5 in the Empire 8.  

Alfred University held their Pink Match on Sunday in honor of Courtney Ferrera (C' 17), who passed away from breast cancer. The proceeds from match were donated to 13thirty Cancer Connect in Counrtney's name. Both teams participated in the event.

The Gators close out the fall season as they travel to Plattsburgh State for a non-conference match on October 12 at 4 p.m.
