Albany, NY – Russell Sage College's women's tennis team hosted the Hartwick College Hawks in an Empire 8 match-up Friday. The Hawks collected the 8-1 win to remain perfect on the fall as they are now 6-0 with a 2-0 record in the league. RSC drops to2-4 overall with an 0-2 mark in the conference.
RSC's rookie Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) was the team's lone winner with her 6-3, 6-3 win at No.1 singles beating rookie Damita Bollers. Spivey is now 4-1 in singles play this fall.
RSC returns to the courts on September 24 hosting Medaille University in a 1 p.m. Empire 8 match to be held at Albany Academy.
