UTICA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College moved to 2-0 with this afternoon's 5-4 win at Utica. The Empire 8 Conference matinee came down to number four singles.
Senior Praescilla Daquin (Binghamton, NY/Windsor Central) won the deciding match 7-3, 6-2. Teaming with fellow senior Jillian Goralewski (Kingston, NY/Kingston), she also was victorious in number three doubles by a score of 8-6.
Also winning their singles competitions were RSC sophomores Gwendolyn Eichen (Moriah Center, NY/Moriah Central) (#3), and Emma Nuzzi (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) (#2), freshman Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) (#1).
