CASTLETON, Vt. – Russell Sage College began its 2022 season by winning 6-3 at Castleton on Sunday afternoon.
The Gators went 6-1 in the singles portion of the non-conference match to secure the road victory.
In doubles, the number one team of sophomore Emma Nuzzi (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) and freshman Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) blanked their Spartan counterpart 8-0.
Looking ahead, the Gators are back in action on Wednesday at Utica. The Empire 8 Conference match is set to begin at 3:30 pm.
