Albany, NY—The Sage Colleges' women's tennis team was honored with the release of the 2018 Empire 8 All-Star Women's Tennis Team.  Sage's junior Rebecca Jackson (Saugerties, NY/John A. Coleman) was honored with a selection to the 2018 Empire 8 Women's Tennis Sportswoman Team. She is a repeat honoree having earned the same honor in 2017.

On her 2018 season, she played mostly at No. 2 singles and was 4-9 in the lineup. She had a banner season in doubles for the Gators and was 8-2 at No. 2 doubles with an impressive 5-2 record in Empire 8 matches.  

One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2018 Women's Tennis Sportswoman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen.
