Delhi, NY—The Sage Colleges' women's tennis team faced the Hawks of Hartwick College in an Empire 8 match held at the SUNY-Delhi Tennis Center Tuesday afternoon. Sage returned to the win column with a 6-3 victory over the Hawks to improve 5-5 and 3-4 in the league. Hartwick drops to 3-8 and 2-5 in the conference.

Sage's sophomore Alison Trudo (West Chazy, NY/Beekmantown) added a win at No. 4 singles, beating Hartwick's Skylar Watts, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0. She teamed in doubles with junior captain Rebecca Jackson (Saugerties, NY/John A. Coleman) for an 8-5 win at the No. 2 spot on the ladder. Junior Sadie Dunne (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) added a clutch win in three sets at the No. three spot on the singles ladder.

Sage is back in action on October 4 travelling to Castleton University for a 4 p.m. match.
