Schnectady, NY- The Sage Colleges' women's tennis team hosted the Golden Flyers of Nazareth College on Saturday in an Empire 8 match held at Sport Time Racquet Club. Nazareth remained perfect on the season as they topped Sage 8-1. Nazareth is now 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the league. Sage drops to 8-3 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

Sage's senior Shanice Mendoza (North Plainfield, NJ/North Plainfield) collected the lone win for the Gators on Saturday as she beat Aliana Burgos, 6-4, 6-3 to elevate her season mark to 5-2 in singles play.

Sage is back in action on October 3 hosting Utica College at 3:30 p.m. at Prospect Park in Troy, NY.
