After assisting Sage’s men’s tennis team in 2016 as a manager, Shanice Mendozza joined her twin sister, Shanessa Mendoza on the courts in the fall of 2016.
She posted an impressive 9-4 in singles in 2016 and was rewarded for her outstanding play with a spot on the 2016 Skyline Conference All-Star squad.
She went 8-3 at No. 3 singles last year, while teaming at No. 3 doubles to go 6-5 on the season.

She is a health science major at Sage.
High School:
A graduate of North Plainfield High School (NJ), she earned acclaim in tennis.
Personal:
A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Shanice is a twin. She has also coached tennis for the USA Sports Institute and has worked for Sage’s Athletic Communications Office.
She is the daughter of Nerissa de Souza and Kirt Alexander.
