New York, NY--- The Sage Colleges' women's tennis team posted a pair of wins last week beating both Utica College and Purchase College, 6-3. With the performance, Sage improved to 7-5 overall and 4-3 in the league. The Gators have now won four straight matches and are looking to secure a Skyline Conference tournament appearance with their efforts this fall.

Leading the team last week was rookie Abbey Clobridge (West Sand Lake, NY/Averill Park). She was named this week's Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week after helping the team to a pair of wins. She helped Sage with her win at No. 4 singles against Purchase. She added a win at No. 3 singles as Sage beat Utica. She went 1-1 as well on the week at No. 1 doubles and helped the Gators the key league victory.

Sage is back in action again on October 22 for a non-conference match at Bard College, while awaiting the final seeds for the upcoming Skyline Conference tournament as other teams complete their league schedule.
