Troy, NY – Sage's women's tennis team hosted the Golden Knights of The College of Saint Rose in a women's tennis match held at Prospect Park on Saturday afternoon. Saint Rose tallied the impressive 9-0 win to improve 2-5 on the year, while the loss puts the Gators at 0-5.

The Golden Knights were paced by the efforts of sophomore Averie Bowen (Pelham, NY/Pelham Memorial) as she was a double winner beating Sage team co-captain Katie Schultz (Wynantskill, NY/Averill Park), 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Bowen teamed at No. 1 doubles with senior Isabella Cubillos (Cali, Columbia) for an 8-1 win over Katie Schultz and her partner, junior Alex Faas (Rensselaer, NY/Columbia).

Sage's sophomore Lindsey Tolman (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) pushed sophomore Alanna Bergmann (Granby, CT/Granby Memorial) at No. 5 singles, but fell 6-2, 6-4.

The Gators are back in action on September 20 hosting Yeshiva University in a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference match to be held at Prospect Park. The Golden Knights are also back in action on September 20 hosting Plattsburgh State at 1 p.m.
