A graduate of Averill Park High School, Katie Schultz is no stranger to Sage as her mother Kristian Schultz works at The College. A Kellas Scholar at Sage, she is a two-time Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team honoree as well as a multiple honoree with postings on Sage’s Scholar-Athlete Team the last two seasons.  She was also honored with a selection to the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 ITA Scholar-Athlete Team.

In her first season on the courts, she compiled a 6-8 record in singles, playing mostly at the No. 4 position. She added a 2-4 mark as well in doubles.

As a member of last year’s team, she earned a spot on the 2014 Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team after helping the Gators to a return trip to the Skyline Conference playoffs. Overall on the season, she went 12-3 in singles play with an impressive 10-2 mark at No. 3 singles. She posted a 5-10 record in doubles play a year ago and will be looked to this season for a larger role in the lineup for the Gators and will serve the team as a 2015 team co-captain.

She is a former varsity tennis player at Averill Park. She is majoring is an occupational therapy at Sage and is the daughter of Ken and Kristian Schultz. She was also named to the Athenian Honor Society and is also a member of the Pi Theta Epsilon Honor Society.
