Named a team co-captain for the 2014 Sage women's tennis team, Lauren Bendall is a former team captain at Rome Free Academy. She has played both women’s lacrosse and women’s tennis at Sage. She shifted her attention to just tennis last year.  In the fall of 2012, she went 3-11 in singles play, while posting a 2-3 record in limited doubles play. Last year, she posted a 7-3 singles mark, while playing mostly at the No. 3 spot in the lineup. She was 3-7 in doubles for the Gators as a junior. She holds a 10-14 career mark in singles play, while standing at 3-18 in doubles action.

She excelled in tennis and track at Rome Free Academy and served as the tennis team’s captain for both her junior and senior seasons, while also captaining the indoor and outdoor track teams as a senior. A scholar-athlete in high school, she helped both the tennis and track teams to sectional appearances.

An honor society student, she captured a first place finish in the Rome Free Academy Science Fair three times, while also serving as the vice president of the student council. She earned a Rome Medical Hospital Nursing Scholarship as well as a NROTC Scholarship.

At Sage she is just as involved on campus as she is the Presudent of the class of ‘15 and is also active as a member of the Sagettes, a capella singing group.  She also was involved with the orientation for the class of 2018 as serving as a orientation leader Welcome Week. A former boy scout, Lauren has worked as a librarian’s assistant at the Sage Library. A member of Sage’s Scholar-Athlete Team, she was also named to the 2012 and 2013 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team for her efforts with women’s tennis and is majoring in nursing at Sage and is the daughter of Eric and Maria Bendall. She earned both Dean's List honors and is a member of the Sage Circle Honor Society.
