North Adams, MA – The Sage Colleges' women's tennis team travelled to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Friday afternoon for a rescheduled match. The Gators posted a 9-0 win to improve to 3-1 on the year, while the loss puts the Trailblazers at 1-4.

Sage's junior Kirsten Ackerman (Rensselear, NY/Guilderland) was a double winner as she posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Kelley Bryant and then teamed at No. 1 doubles for an 8-2 win there with her partner senior Nicole Riley (Catskill, NY/Catskill).  Riley added a 6-1, 6-3 win at No.2 singles as well for Sage.

Ackerman is now 17-0 lifetime at Sage in dual match singles play and 18-1 overall in singles as a Gator and is this week's reining Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

Sage returns to action on Saturday, September 14 travelling to Farmingdale State College for a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference match.
