A former team captain and member of the tennis team at North Plainfield High School (NJ), Shanessa Mendoza arrives at Sage and is joined on campus by her twin sister. She helped guide her team to a strong ninth place finish out of 22 teams in the conference. She is majoring in health sciences with a concentration in physical therapy.  A mentor in the ASL Honor Society, she is the daughter of Kirt and Nerissa Alexander.
