Named a team co-captain for the 2013 campaign, Mary Kate Hayward is a three-year letterwinner at Sage in women's tennis. She has also excelled on the lacrosse field for the Gators.

In tennis, she is coming off a season having played at both fourth and fifth singles and posted a 4-9 overall record. In doubles, she played mostly at second doubles and had a record of 5-8 on the season.

 As a sophomore, she played at the No. 3, 4, and 5 spot in the singles' ladder, posting a 3-8 record. She also saw time in the doubles' lineup, where she was 1-7. Overall on her Sage career, she owns a 11-25 singles record with a 10-24 doubles mark.

She was the team's 2011 recipient of the Leadership Award after stepping into the role as team captain.

In lacrosse, Hayward helped the Gators on both ends of the field having tallied three goals and an assist as a field player as well as a 1-3 record in goal for the 2012 squad.

Scholastically, she helped the Glens Fall High School Lacrosse Team to the Sectional Runner-up title, while leading the tennis team to the Section II Individual Sectionals twice. She was a two-sport scholastic athlete garnering four letter in tennis and one in lacrosse.

She is majoring in creative arts and therapy as well as music at Sage. She is the daughter of Jim and Michelle Hayward.
