Dana Fowler played scholastically at both the Loudonville Christian School and at Troy High School. She played both basketball and soccer in high school and was a team captain as well as honors list student at Troy High School and Loudonville Christian School. She comes to Sage after studying at Johnson and Wales College and is majoring in nutrition.

She is the daughter of Frederick and Janet Fowler.
