ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College freshman defender Katelyn Odorizzi (Voorheesville, NY/Clayton A. Bouton) was named the Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 11.
The rookie registered a goal and an assist as the Gators won their home opener vs. MCLA on Saturday afternoon.
Looking ahead, RSC (1-2-1) returns to the pitch tomorrow at 7:00 pm vs. Skidmore.
Notes: The Gators return 12 players from last season…Forward Natalie Ricci (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes), a graduate student, headlines the dozen…She began the fall ranked 11th in program records with 53 career points…Junior forward Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), who registered nine points last season, and all three goalkeepers are also back.
