Gators and Bard Play to a Deadlock

ANNANDALE-on-HUDSON, N.Y. – Russell Sage College and Bard College played to a 1-1 tonight.

The Raptors (1-1-1) got on the board first with a goal by junior midfielder Emma Kuntz. Following the 17th minute tally, RSC pressed hard for an equalizer. The Gators outshot the hosts 21-7 and earned an 8-0 advantage on corner kicks across the 90 minutes.

RSC finally broke through at the 64:27 mark. Junior forward Kennedy Jones (Albany, NY/Albany) netted the game-tying goal.

Looking ahead, the Gators (0-2-1) begin a stretch of three-straight home games on Saturday vs. MCLA. The non-conference action at ACP is set to commence at 5:00 pm.


Notes: RSC returns 12 players from last season…Forward Natalie Ricci (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes), a graduate student, headlines the dozen…She began the fall ranked 11th in program records with 53 career points…Junior forward Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), who registered nine points last season, and all three goalkeepers are also back.
