Women's Soccer Tops Elms, 3-0 on the road

Chicopee, MA — Russell Sage College women's soccer squad traveled to Massachusetts to take on Elms College in a non-conference match. The Gators held a 2-0 lead at the break and posted a 3-0 win to move to 5-6-2 overall, while Elms drops to 7-6-1.  

RSC's senior Hallie Klosterman (Modena, NY/Wallkill) scored the first goal of the contest at 16:28 for her third of the season. She now has 15 career goals with three career game-winners. Sophomore forward Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) added an insurance goal before the break as she connected for the goal at 42:32.

Junior Natalie Ricci (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) added the final tally for the Gators as she scored her team-leading sixth goal of the fall as she scored at the 77:25 mark. Ricci now has 45 career points on 20 goals with five assists and has moved into the No. 14 spot on the career point list. Ricci is also now tied for 12th in career goals (20) with Lisa Reles (2004-2007).

Rookie keeper Kiersten Lynch (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) made four saves in the contest to earn her third shutout  this fall and is now 4-2 on the year.  

Russell Sage College women's soccer team will hold their inaugural Gator-Aid Game on Saturday, October 16 when the team hosts Nazareth College in an Empire 8 contest at 2 p.m.

The Gator-Aid game will take place at ACP Stadium with a goal to raise funds to support area families and our community affected by cancer as well as the American Cancer Society.
