Trimblett Named to Skyline Weekly Honor Roll

Skyline Week 4 Release

NEW YORK – Sophomore Samantha Trimblett (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) was named to the Skyline Conference week four honor roll Tuesday morning.

Last week, Trimblett helped the Gators to a 2-1 double-overtime victory at defending conference champion, St. Joseph's – Long Island. The forward scored the game-tying goal in the 31st minute of the game, and assisted Taylor Lynch's (Woodstock, NY/Saugerties) game-winner in the 103rd minute. Trimblett currently has two goals, three assists and seven points on the season. The sophomore is currently tied for 7th in career assists at Sage with 12.

Trimblett is currently leading the Gators in assists (3), shots (5) and shots on goal (12). Other statistical leaders for the Gators this season include Lynch (5 goals, 13 points, 3 game-winning goals, .333 shot percentage, .733 shot-on-goal percentage), Joleen Marfone (Remsen, NY/Remsen) (3 assists) and Cassidy Bruen (Baldwinsville, NY/Baldwinsville) (3 assists).

Picking up Skyline Player of the Week were Farmingdale State's Taylor Howard and Mount Saint Vincent's Julian McGowan. Howard, last year's Skyline Player of the Year, scored three goals with one assist on Farmingdale's 2-0 week. Meanwhile, McGowan scored a pair of goals on the Dolphin's 2-0 week. McGowan leads the Skyline with eight goals on the season. The week four Skyline Rookie of the Week was Mount Saint Mary's Theresa Stinson. The freshman recorded two goals and two assists.

Sage is currently 4-4overall with a 1-1 conference record. The Gators are currently in a four-way tie for fourth with Old Westbury, Maritime and Sarah Lawrence with three points each. Topping the table is Mount Saint Vincent with nine points with Mount Saint Mary, Farmingdale, Purchase and St. Joseph's – Long Island following with six points.

The Gators host their first Skyline contest of the season tomorrow night at ACP against Mount Saint Mary at 7 p.m.
