Albany, NY –The Sage women's soccer team hosted the Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday in a Skyline Conference match-up in conjunction with the team's Senior Day. Sage posted an 8-0 victory marking a number of high-water marks for the Gator program. With the win, Sage improves to 12-3 overall and remains unbeaten in the Skyline Conference at 7-0. Sarah Lawrence College drops to 4-9 overall and 1-7 in the league. The Sage win ties the record set last season for most wins in a year with 12, while marking the team's seventh straight victory, also a new mark and the team's seventh league victory.

Since joining the Skyline Conference in 1997, Sage has never won seven league contests in women's soccer until this fall, while this year's team has now won seven consecutive games, bettering the streak of six set in 2003.

Rookie forward Samantha Trimblett (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) added three assists in the action as Sage led 6-0 at the break. Junior forward Taylor Lynch (Woodstock, NY/Saugerties) and rookie forward Joleen Marfone (Remsen, NY/Remsen) also had two goals each for the Gators.  Senior midfielder Angelica DeCianni (Green Island, NY/Heatly) added two assists in the action as well.

Senior co-captain Nicole Maher (Glen Clove, NY/Saint Dominic) earned the win in goal and the team's eighth shutout of the year. Now 11-1 in goal, Maher has a 0.73 goals against average this season in 12 games played in net. She started the game in goal and moved to playing as a forward after 13 plus minutes. She made one save, but then tallied two goals as well in the action. She now has six goals this fall with four assists and 16 points which is tied for the No. 2 spot this season. On her career, she continues to add to her resume as she now has 34 career goals (No. 3) with 18 assists (No. 2), and 86 career points, which is No. 3 at Sage.

Maher shared the shutout win with rookie keeper Emaleigh Maloney (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) as the pair made one and two saves, respectively in the win. SLC's junior goalie Addie Rosenburg (New York, NY/Fusion Academy) drops to 4-8 on the year and made 11 saves in the loss.
