Sage drops from Skyline Women's Soccer Tournament with loss at MSMC

Newburgh, NY – Sage's women's soccer team competed on Wednesday night in the Skyline Conference semifinals on Wednesday night facing the No. 2 seeded Knights of Mt. St. Mary College. The Knights advanced to the championship game after beating Sage 6-0. MSMC improves to 14-4-1 on the year, while the Gators' win streak is halted at five as Sage drops to 11-5-2.

MSMC led 5-0 at the break and was paced by the play of Melissa Guillemette as she finished the night with seven points after recording three goals and an assist. Marissa Segreto tallied a goal and two assists as well in the action.

Sage's senior keeper Teagan Waddingham (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) made seven saves in goal, while Mary Riley made one save in the action in recording the shutout win.

Waddingham now has 312 career saves, which is No. 4 on the Sage career record book. She has also played in 48 games and is now No. 2 all-time. She has 4,295 career minutes (No. 3).

The 2014 Gators have tied the program's victory mark with their 11 wins this fall and must now await word of a possible ECAC Tournament berth next week after their Skyline Conference tournament came to an end.
