Albany, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's soccer team hosted the Dolphins of the College of Mt. St. Vincent on Saturday afternoon at the Colonie H.S. Athletic Complex. Prior to the match, Sage honored their three seniors, Emily Stevenson Ithaca, NY/Newfield), Danielle Kitsock (Claverack, NY/Hudson), and Sarah Woodruff (Copenhagen, NY/Copenhagen Central) in conjunction with Senior Day.   

The Dolphins posted the 2-1 victory to secure a spot in the upcoming Skyline Conference tournament and stand at 11-7 overall and 4-4 in the league. The loss puts Sage at 4-10 overall and 2-6 I the conference.

CMSV's rookie Mandy D'Amico (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) put the team on the scoreboard first with her fifth goal of the season on a feed from sophomore Charlotte Barnham (London, England) at the 2:41 mark. The Gators answered right back as sophomore Kelsey Woron (Baltimore, MD/Chesapeake) cross the ball from the right side and looped it past sophomore keeper Kelly Hilly (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) at the 7:13 point of the match to tie things at 1-1. The goal was the third of the season for Woron.

At the 21:18 mark, D'Amico connected with Barnham for the score to lift the Dolphins to the win as she tallied her eighth goal of the season and her second game winner.

Sage's junior goalkeeper Teagan Waddingham (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) connected had seven saves in the action, while Hilly recorded four saves and the win. 

Sage returns to action on Tuesday, October 29 hosting SUNY-Canton at 2:30 p.m. in a non-conference match to be held at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
