Purchase, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's soccer team travelled to Purchase College on Monday night for a Skyline Conference match. The host Panthers recorded the 2-0 win improves to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the Skyline, while Sage falls to 2-9 overall and 1-5 in the league.
Melissa Valencia scored the first goal of the night at the 2:38 of the match on a feed from MaryKate McGee. McGee added a goal in the second half to lead Purchase to the win.
Sage's junior goalkeeper Teagan Waddingham (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) connected for two saves in the action, while Purchase's Jess Lindsay made seven saves in earning the shutout win.
Sage returns to action on Saturday, October 19 hosting NYU-Poly in a Skyline contest to be held at Noon at Albany College of Pharmacy's Athletic Complex.
