Throggs Neck, NY---The Sage Colleges' women's soccer team picked up their second straight win as they beat Maritime College 3-0 on Wednesday evening. Sage improves to 2-5 overall and 2-0 in the Skyline Conference, while Maritime drops to 0-9 and 0-2 in the league.

The Gators were led by sophomore Lindsay Millett (Ravena, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) who scored the first and third goals, both assisted by freshman midfielder Nicole Maher (Glen Cover, NY/Saint Dominic). Sage's second goal was scored by rookie Sara Tironi (Cambridge, NY/Cambridge), assisted by classmate Alexandra Robert (Melrose, NY/Hoosic Valley).

Maher continues to lead Sage's scoring efforts this season with her 13 points on 5 goals and 3 assists, while Millett and Tironi each have four points this fall.

Sage's sophomore keeper Teagan Waddingham (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena Coeymans-Selkirk) recorded her second straight shutout win as she finished the match with two saves. With her performance on Wednesday night, Waddingham stands at 2-5 in goal this year with a 4.14 goals against average and a .597 saves percentage.

Maritime's freshman goalkeeper Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) made five great saves in the losing effort, all coming in the first half. Maritime got shots on goal by freshmen Caroline Reynolds (Oswego, NY/Oswego) and Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, NY/Washingtonville).

The Gators return to action on September 29 host SUNY-Old Westbury at 1 p.m. in a Skyline Conference contest which will take place at Colonie Central High School.
