Ramapo spoils Sage women's soccer home opener

Colonie, NY---The Sage Colleges' women's soccer team had their 2012 home opener on Wednesday night. The Roadrunners of Ramapo College proved to be the spoilers as they beat the Gators, 7-0 to improve 3-1. Sage drops to 0-5 on the year.

Ramapo held a 3-0 halftime lead and were led by freshman midfielder Shea Bullen (Queens, NY/H.S of Applied Communications) as she netted one goal and assisted on three others for five points in the action.

Rookie defender Nicole Ninomiya (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville) added a goal and an assist for the Roadrunners.

Sophomore keeper Teagan Waddingham (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena Coeymans-Selkirk) made 12 saves for Sage. Ramapo's junior Talia Auslin (Fairlawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) and freshman Cassandra Lubonski (Edison, NJ/Edison) shared in the shutout win for Ramapo as each played one half and Lubonski made two saves in the second half for the Roadrunners.  

Sage returns to action on Tuesday, September 18 when they travel to MCLA for a 4 p.m. non-conference match. Ramapo College hosts The College on New Jersey on September 15 at 1 p.m. in a NJAC match-up.
