Glenmont, NY---The Sage's women's soccer team hosted the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's College on Saturday afternoon in a Skyline Conference match. The Golden Eagles earned a 2-0 win for their first conference victory of the season and improve to 4-2-1 overall and 1-0 in the league. The Gators drop to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the league.

St. Joseph's freshman Bethany Bianco (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) provided the game-winner with her score just 56 seconds before the half on an assist from sophomore midfielder Samantha Garcia (Central Islip, NY/St. John the Baptist).

Freshman Victoria Hassett (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) added a second goal for SJC with her fourth goal of the season on a feed from Garcia at 60:06.

Sage's senior goalie Brittany McDonald (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) suffered the loss to fall to 4-1 in net after making seven saves. SJC's senior Michelle Gulino (East Setauket, NY/Ward Melville) earned the shutout with her six saves.
