RSC women's lacrosse performers among national stats leaders for 2023

Indianapolis, IN –  Russell Sage College's women's lacrosse team wrapped their 2023 under the guidance of Rob Bray and had several honors bestowed to the program over the course of the season. RSC wraps the campaign with a 5-8 overall and went 2-5 in the Empire 8.

As a team, the Gators ranked 28th nationally averaging 24.31 ground ball pick-ups per game, while also ranking 67th in free position percentage having converted 0.473 of their free position goals. RSC was also 86th having averaged 10.38 caused turnovers per contest.

Individually several players were also among the national leaders for their efforts in 2023. Junior attacker Grace Hines (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) was ranked nationally in the Top 200 players in six different categories, while ranking 41st with her 3.85 goals per game average. She was also ranked 74th with 4.77 points per game, 76th shots per game average (7.46), and 79th with a 5.69 shots on goal per game average. Hines wrapped the 2023 season as the team's leading scorer with 50 goals and 12 assists. Her 62 points this year was a career-best for the junior, who now has 115 career points which is No. 2 all-time. Her 97 career goals is second highest as well, while her 18 career assists checks in at sixth best.

Junior attacker Alexandra Queeney (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) was 90th with her 5.38 draw controls per game average. She has 93 career points, which is fourth highest on 67 career goals. She also ranks No. 2 all-time with her 162 career draw controls.  

Junior midfielder Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) was ranked 73rd with her 0.600 free position shooting percentage, junior Ashley Hearn (Waterloo, NY/Waterloo) added a 2.23 caused turnovers per game average and ranked 56th in Division III and was also 56th with her 3.85 ground balls per game average.
