Nationally ranked SJFU stymies Gators on Saturday

Pittsford, NY –  Russell Sage College's women's lacrosse team travelled to Western New York to take on No. 23 ranked St. John Fisher University in an Empire 8 match. The Cardinals collected a 23-2 win to move to 12-2 overall with a perfect Empire 8 record of 4-0. RSC drops to 5-7 overall and 2-4 in the league.

Junior attacker Grace Hines (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) and senior midfielder Caroline Musinski (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union) each scored a goal for RSC.

Hines leads the Gators this season with a personal-best 58 points on 47 goals with 11 assists.  Hines now has 111 career points which is second best all-time at RSC, while her 94 career goals is also second highest.

Sophomore goalie Madalyn Walsh (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) made four saves in the game.

Looking ahead, the Gators will host Nazareth College on April 29 in a 4 p.m. Empire 8 contest in conjunction with Senior Day.
